That was on the forecourt of the “Cathédrale de la Major” that young people of the diocese of Marseille were given appointment for their departure at World Youth Day (WYD).
This year, 161 young people from Marseille aged from 17 to 30 left for Krakow, Poland, where as many as 2 million pilgrims from 182 different nationalities attended this event.
Azur Evasion proudly accompanied these young people by providing three coaches to touring to Auschwitz and Wadowice, then on to Krakow for WYD.
The trip was long but punctuated by an atmosphere both festive and spiritual, desired by John Paul II in 1986. It is considered as the world’s largest event for youth.
